Hi guys! My name is Alex and I am new to model mayhem. I would like to host a meetup once a week at my restaurant. It is a gigantic space that is located in Westminster and we close every Thursday. I can bring and setup a backdrop and several lights if you want to shoot or mess around. My main goal is to meet other artists and make new friends in the industry. I would like to meet makeup artist, hair stylist, wardrobe stylist, photographers, models and cinematographers. All people are welcomed! I would like to host monthly contests and just little fun photo shoots for everyone to enjoy and hangout. Please let me know if this is something you're interested in. I would like to get some opinions so i can set a time and what things i need to bring to make this event great. Wayne Sep 15 15 08:20 pm Link 9822 Bolsa Ave # H, Westminster, CA 92683 Location and the restaurant my parents own is called Tay Ho 4. The place is gigantic and can fit 100 people plus. I have the whole restaurant for myself every Thursday as long as I lock up and keep things clean. Ceilings are are extremely high since this restaurant was built in a old Vietnamese super market. I am looking to make new friends and just have fun shooting and discussing about photography and anything art related. I would like to try to do the meetup this Thursday at 7:00 pm tonight and from there we can spread the word and setup a better time that would work out for everyone and new people looking to hangout and join. Perhaps you can do this as a once a month gig at your restaurant / area with partitions and settings like a modeling shoot event of some sort and charge photographers, similar to these two meetup groups. David Oct 28 15 01:04 pm Link I'm jealous, there are many photography clubs in the LA area and I'm glad to hear more photographers are putting on shoots. I wonder if Gardena Camera Club is still around. They would charge the photographers a minimum fee of $5 and use the money to hire models. I thought that was a fair way to help insure models coming.
