The "Great Recession" ended more than six years ago, in June of 2009.
The Iraq War ended in 2011.  The unemployment rate dropped to 5.1% last August.

Ahhhh… it's hard to remember the last time we had such a long period of peace and prosperity!

way back in 88 when I got a nice county IT job my father talked me into putting a couple hundred aside each paycheck into a company that invests it in stocks and here we are now and I have enough in the account to buy a house. I cant touch it till I'm 55 which is 8 years away but its been good to me at least. many times there were points where people freaked out and broke their accounts when they were scared with the economy...yet  my dad was like dont freak out at the first sign of trouble,just let it sit in there. I also dont worry about who is president. day to day life doesnt really change no matter who is in office so I dont worry who gets in there. so, for me life is good.
