As in, asking before a shoot what is the best way to shoot something to give you the best files to work on?

If it's a creative project, then yes, photographer and retoucher are planning together,

In the online/remote retouch world: most of the time photographers don't consult retouchers before the shooting.
They just need an extra pair of hands of finish/retouch some of the photos, according to their vision/retouch guidelines.

I have two Photographers who like to sit there as I edit their high-end projects, but web edits generally not.
