I am new here and got my profile recently approved. Would appreciate any feedback on the pics that I have posted. Feedback on the light, angle and any post op suggestions is what I am looking for. Looking forward to hearing from the community. I have a Nikon D610 with 50mm 1.4 that I use for DOF

There must be better looking men to shoot in NY than what you've got in your portfolio right now.
That being said, if I were a male model, I wouldn't shoot with you simply because I can tell what direction you're trying to go in. Color toning seems to be a bit of an issue, but it could just be your style. I dunno.

What kind of "oomph" do YOU think you're missing?

It's just not coming together well, almost each frame is decent but has one issue keeping from being great.

I think you might want to take on a different genre and then come back to this.

The color/exposure and the direction the light is hitting the subject just isn't working.

Most of your images are over processed, try and learn to understand your camera first before jumping to editing.

Hope this helps :-)

Don't use a 50mm for headshots or the result will be what you got - a swollen ugly face with a bulbous nose:

Use a 200mm instead and stand so much further away that the framing will be the same.
