I have recently changed 90% of pictures in my portfolio and have changed the wording in my bio. I used to do mainly pinup style of modelling; however I am looking at changing this. I'm hoping with my recent photos they show a different side to just pinup. I am wanting to do more fashion, lingerie work. Any advice would really be appreciated. I think I have grown and discovered more about myself, since the last critique. Apr 21 16 09:21 pm Link Apr 21 16 10:44 pm Link The bio is very helpful. My only suggestion is to keep updating your profile with photoshoots of the styles you want to do. Apr 22 16 09:01 am Link For the most part, you have an excellent portfolio but, for me, there are are a few weak ones that should go. 1. Very colorful, but the lighting and large lollipop obscure your face. Makes it non-memorable for you, as a model. 2. Love the face, the hair and expression. I would crop it square from just under your right shoulder and in a bit, to your shoulders. It makes a much stronger portrait. 3. Awkward and it looks like you feel that way, too. Your right leg position is not strong.and your expression is not positive. 4. Very strong portrait. Your face has a different look here and it's a good one. Just wish there was more light on it but that's a nitpick. You look gorgeous. 5. No. Expression is dead and makeup is caking. 6. Yes! Great face, smile, eye contact and body language and energy. 7. Very colorful and your eyes make it through the clutter but there's a LOT of distracting details and your position doesn't make it easy to get a clear vision of your face. 8. You've got a lovely feminine figure, a good S-curve pose going, but you're expression says you've had a couple of customers, too many. Sorry. That is bordello wallpaper. 9. Interesting concept. Yours is the strongest face of the three here. 10. Your expression shows dignity here and it makes your face beautiful. Good pose. Not sure why your arms are behind you but maybe it strengthens the mood. 11. I don't know. Why are you frightened? The 2 moods clash. You have wonderful eyes and a perfectly shaped mouth. 12. Are you a teenager? Then why the cup of coffee? Why are you mad? The dress is wrinkled. Doesn't do it for me. 1950's dress and teenage hairdo. '70's-'80's platform shoes. Adult coffee cup. 13. Yeah, this is eye candy. Great expression, smile and eye contact. 14.No. What about this shot makes it good for your portfolio? We can't see your face. The outfit is causing bulges in your skin. The lighting says you have cellulite on your legs. It's the same awkward leg pose as #3. We can't see your face. (yes, that's a repeat). Great hair! 15. "I've been standing here in underwear and high heels for 10 g*ddam minutes. Take the shot, already!". Lose that inward turning leg pose. 16. Lovely pose and expression. Could have used more light on your face. Oy, that logo. 17. I'm thinking of this for a shot of my own. Does it hide too much of your face? Certainly hides your mouth. For photographer's portfolio. You have a face that can express many moods and looks. Use the mirror to see your face with different expressions so you get a muscle memory of what they look like. A pet peeve of mine is women trying to look "sexy" in a picture and you can tell it's not there. If taking those kind of pictures is not "you" in that time, place or situation then it's not going to work and it will show. You're gorgeous. Let it show. Apr 22 16 10:49 am Link Addendum. Turns out I'm only positive on 7 of 17. I'd say weed out the weaker ones and fill with photos show you in the best possible light. Apr 22 16 02:47 pm Link 15. "I've been standing here in underwear and high heels for 10 g*ddam minutes. Take the shot, already!". Lose that inward turning leg pose. Couldn't disagree more. IMO, that inward-turning leg (I sometimes refer to it as "goofyfooting") goes perfectly with that itchy/bored/slightly-pissed-off look. What shows in her face shows in her body, too. Apr 23 16 02:59 am Link Regarding your bio, I suggest eliminating the rates part - A. Nobody states that their rates are unreasonable, so it's a throwaway comment that doesn't add anything. B. The reasonableness of your rates is determined by the buyer, not the seller. $1/hour is unreasonable to the person who doesn't think you're worth it. C. The ambiguity just wastes space and confuses: your rate is at least $60/h. Except when it isn't. It could be lower. It could be higher. It could be TF. So what truly relevant information have you put forth by having the section there?
