Self-contortion
I recently worked with a model who was lithe enough to bend her body into photographically interesting shapes: 18+ nudity https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/41066373 That got me wondering, models, about the greatest extent to which you've been able to contort your body BY YOURSELF for the sake of a photograph. (The "by yourself" excludes other people from helping, as when someone binds you, for example.) If you've succeeded in contorting yourself in photogenic ways, please provide links to pictures. You're also welcome to describe the experience from your point of view as the model. Aug 08 16 07:21 pm Link Well, you can seldom read the age of photographers but it is very often a fact for thoose who still aren't in their 20-30's, that age is a factor to count on in certain poses. Some might manage to "bend over" or look "horny" on demand. If I try it (not on demand) I will nearly not even reach the floor with my fingertips and the look in my face Is rather like I am sitting on the toilette. The result is, that I sometimes do my poses slightly a bit different than I would be capable of if I were in my twenties. I would love to hear if photographers in their fifties have discovered the same issues. I also hike about in nature in Texas carrying 14–15 lbs. of gear (6.5–7 kg) at temperatures of 80°–95° (27°C–35°C). That said, there's no way I could ever have contorted myself like the model, even when I was her age, which is not much more than one-third my current age. That's why I'm grateful she's so lithe. Since OP is 71 and goes hiking, there is like I said, no doubts about that he isn't on maternity leave (or with a beer belly). Aug 10 16 12:42 pm Link Five or seven years ago, "yoga nudes" were popular and something I shot with some regularity. As time went on, fewer and fewer people seemed interested in this. I have always been able to do supported headstands, full splits, standing splits, as well as backbends ("wheel pose"), and balancing only on the hands with feet lifted -among other contortions. I can hang on bars or supports above ground and flip completely over, bringing my legs behind my head while hanging. I was also able to do intermediate pole tricks, prior to experiencing shoulder problems in 2013, but only one person ever showed interest in shooting this. The resulting photos were not of good enough quality to use in a portfolio. In general, I've never been happy with the image quality that resulted from "contortion" shoots, and found the lighting mostly flat and boring. I was typically paid for this work, and it was almost always exclusively nude - which meant it couldn't be displayed anywhere except MM anyway.
