I've been out of the photography scene for about 5 years and hope some of you could critique my newest image of 2016. Thank you in advance

I'll critique a couple random shots. I would say this image is below average mainly due to the lighting. The sun light on her skin is overexposed and the shadows are underexposed. It appears you needed a reflector (or flash) on the shadow side in order to balance out the lighting. Background colors are muted. Not much connection with model either. I'd recommend removing from port.


This is a better swimsuit shot. Skin tones look good. Swimsuit is more interesting in this shot. Model is connecting better here too. I'm not sure about the angle…probably a little too extreme. Not sure about the crop either. I'd like to see more of her hip that's cropped off. Overall, much better looking swimsuit shot than the other.
