Hello!

Is it ever okay to reach out to brands/boutique regarding modeling gigs? Until I can get signed with an agency, I just have to search relentlessly for gigs.

I'd really like to do some pregnant modeling for the meantime, but obviously that time frame is really short and goes quickly.

I've looked on Craigslist and scour Instagram (sierraraymodel) constantly but you don't find much.

Any advice?

Some brands and stores use stock images.   They aren't having models photographed in their gowns, etc. to then showcase the images.   Nothing wrong with asking though.   I've always felt its best to have an agency do this though.   Contact advertising agencies as well.   This is also why its a good idea to meet photographers who shoot local fashion and beauty because they also tend to hear about upcoming castings.   Going to meet designers at fashion shows is wise and if at all possible hit fashion week.
