Airmen of Note? Maybe not.

Thanks so much. I have to fly today to Dallas.

My dad was WWII AAC vet and I'm an AF vet.

I'm thinking about my dad and the music he taught me to love and enjoy.

Thank you so much. I'm trying to type through the tears of happiness.

Gotta love the swing era...

For the 50th anniversary of the end of WWII (1995), there was a week-long celebration on O'ahu which included the music, clothes, vehicles, uniforms and dancing from those times.  The skies were full of warbirds, and the sounds of P-51's, B-25's, Corsairs, and Hellcats flying in formation was a treat for the eyes and ears.  The military bands were in top form, and there were lots of old vets with tears streaming down their faces.  America United.
