Hi! I was wondering what the lighting setup for this pictures would be as I would love to recreate it. It looks kind of like cloudy light but in studio. My guess is two standard reflectors from behind him pointing up and infront of him and a fill light in front. What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Unless it is retouched out, the reflected highlights in the eyes will tell you what lights were used on the front side of the model. In this case, I see a main light on the left and reflectors top and bottom.

In the top head-shot the nose shadow suggests paramount i.e. butterfly shadow under the nose...
There is also a highlight on the top of the head suggesting a hair light...
Albeit not a fan of the darken left eye socket... the key is a tad too high for my taste... your however may be different...

I love the bottom image... the sweater is beautiful illuminated...
However this is the classic polar bear in a snowstorm scenario... lol  little if any background separation...
Almost like two huge soft-boxes at 45 degrees either side of camera axis...
Want of face shadows support this inference in my humble estimation...

Would like to hear what others suspect here...

Thank you for sharing...

I'm seeing a shadow almost directly under his nose, looks like reflector or window behind camera.

Unless it is a studio with a really huge skylight, those shots were with created outdoors.

Yes, this.  I think your could recreate that ugly head shot lighting in studio, but the 2nd shoot looks outdoors for sure. I have a roof top that looks very similar the that
