Where to publish a story online?

A friend of mine wrote a true story about surviving the 9/11 attack. She has no interest in making money from her account; just wants to share it online.

Can you recommend a site where it's easy for someone to share her own work online? The story exists in WordPerfect right now but can easily be put into PDF form.
