Your overall technical skills in composition, lighting, and editing are on point. However you seem to have difficulty making your subjects feel at ease (or at least catching them at a moment when they feel natural posing). Your next steps as a photographer should be investing in learning to pose your models and finding tricks to help catch them in more candid moments or advising them on how to hold their face to help them appear more natural. One of the best things you can tell someone your photographing simply to relax their jaw. Maybe people natural clench their jaw in anticipation of the click of the camera. Telling someone to relax their jaw gives them something to concentrate on in their face without knitting their brow or giving them a strained unnatural smile.

Thank you so much for your input. I think I’ve been focusing so much on the technical part of photography and have overlooked the posing! Smh Im sure am going to work on that now. smile

--A lot of the poses look too contrived and snapshot like. Here's just a couple of examples:

--I think these types of cliche self shots can go away.  Especially, when they are blurry and out of focus.

--I would save these types of shots for your website, not your MM portfolio.

--Both images, don't do their hand poses like this.  Looks awkward.  Like they only have thumbs...only thumbs.
--First image, you also have the tendency to cut off feet.  You have several like this, as well as others where you've cut off their hands and fingers.
--Second image, not flattering.  She looks like she doesn't want to be there.  Also, the overly busy background.  Either don't put them there, or use wider apertures.

--Don't have them point their elbows directly at you.  Looks awkward like she's got little dwarf arms.

--Bad lighting. Looks like you either didn't use a reflector or flash like you did on this one.
--Also, that look away look where their face is facing you is just...just...just no bueno.  If you have to do that, at least have them turn their head in the general direction of their eyes.

--This one has everything:  bad posing, cut off feet, doesn't want to be there, busy background, trash cans in the background.

Definitely, work on the posing, expressions, watch the backgrounds, and stop cutting off stuff.
