Hi everybody!

I just changed my website and need some honest feedback.

https://www.amylopulissa.com

Not about the pictures but about the layout, the info etc.
when you are looking for a makeup artist and you see my site
what are your thoughts? More or less pictures?
Is it better to put my prices or not? more personal
info as a person or not? or do you miss anything on my site?
Love to hear from U !!

IMO, the layout is attractive, low-key and simple. Nicely laid out.

In the portfolio, the second row of images could go. The shot of the two girls with their hair wrapped around each other's neck seems more of a photographer's or hairstylist's shot*, not so much a makeup artist's shot. And the lovely model with the dark hair is figured more prominently a few rows down. That second row feels redundant, a bit like padding the portfolio. However, more photos could help, as long as they're  of different models and distinct looks showing even more variety in your skills.

*The website's header specifies only only "makeup artist," though your listing of diplomas includes "hairstylist." If you're seeking strictly MUA work, fine, but if you're open to doing hairstyling as well, it would be a good idea to add that to your site's header. Otherwise you might get overlooked in a skills search.

In your "about me" page, the plural of company is companies, not company's. And the plural of diploma is diplomas, not diploma's.

As for more personal info, you could go either way. The personal info is threadbare, but would it help to have more? Not sure. Couldn't hurt, I suppose. to be a little more personal, just don't get too chatty about it. Chatty and personal could clash with the simplicity of the rest of the site. Your site lets your work speak for itself and it does so beautifully.

Pricing on your site? I'll leave that for the more industry-savvy folks to comment on

wel yes i do hair as well! But it's not my main focus, and I don't have
much pictures of it that's why I put the picture of the two girls.
Maybe its better to put it in a other header.

And the spelling is because I'm dutch big_smile  Thanks for telling me!!!
I adjust it right away.

I think I keep my personal info  low key like the lay out.
maybe a little bit of a very short story. Just to
show a bit more of my personality.
,
Thanks for the feedback!! I  appreciate it.

Hi Amy,
You're hair images are choppy and the image of the hair wrapped around 2 is a site killer do not have, remove asap kind of pic. Stick to MUA that is useable with non of the trick stuff. Trick stuff doesn't work. Good work will. A little more warmth and description of what you offer beside pictures. Better cropping and image for about me but like the ease of use.

I did remove the hair stuff, its not really hairstyle photo's anyway  and
my main focus is makeup. the pictures with the two girls, I wasn't sure either
I did it because I like the project so much, but I already showed it in my blogs.
And it's not really showing any makeup or hair skills I guess.
And the cropping thing is because I use the Wix site to make the website and
then you can choose different templates. So  they cropped it for you...
Still have to figure out what works best.
Thank you so much for your honest feedback!

In your 'SOME THOUGHTS & EXPERIENCES' blog, I would rather read something more interesting than "This was a while ago ...."

Think more about how you start a story so that the first few words capture a readers interest. Make it a 'punch' line.

Otherwise, along with the other advice you've taken onboard, I believe your page has improved.

I wrote the last blog because I felt I have to post something.
I actually wanted to post how it was backstage .. but I couldn't
find the pictures anymore sad   I'm just wondering what is interesting to read in my blog? .
I had some other topics like what is happening backstage. or the change in the beauty
industry and my thoughts about it. And a what's in my makeup kit... or some retail experience
because I work also in stores?
It is so easy for me to" critique" someone else, but myself it's like I have no idea.
And the story telling..  well for me it takes time to write a good story.
I think it's better to wait until I have a good one then just post something.
But thank you so much for your feedback!!!!!

Sorry my comment was not about your whole story ... it was just about your intro line "This was a while ago ..." that I found uninteresting ... not the whole story.

Think about introducing your story by saying something like:
"My First Tearsheets. I had the pleasure of doing the makeups for a fair-trade brand NOI-NOI
I don't have the backstage pictures anymore, but here you can see the end results."
