Once in a while I find myself rotating a photograph out of its true orientation and presenting it in the altered way because I like the effect it produces. What's reality anyway, right?

If you have any pictures that you prefer in a rotated orientation, let's see them. Here are three examples from my recent work. The first two are from a set in which the limber model hung in various ways from a grill atop a pipeline. The third picture came from a scenic cliff nearby.

Another photo of the same setup pretty much shows how the photo was made:

I've also sometimes photographed a model lying on her back and then rotated the picture 180° to make her face appear right side up.

This image was rotated clockwise by 90 degrees:

Your aren't asking for a critique and this is the wrong forum for critiques.  I do like the three images except that the hair is falling in the wrong direction in all 3 and the clouds in the first two.

Best wishes!

You confirmed that I didn't ask for a critique, but I still appreciate your opinion. I'll grant that the hair in my three pictures doesn't fall in the direction you'd expect from gravity. That contrariness to reality appealed to me because it might startle a viewer with its different way of looking at the world.

Mainly I started this thread as a way for other photographers to show what they've achieved by rotating a photograph out of its true orientation.
