Rotating a photograph for effect
Once in a while I find myself rotating a photograph out of its true orientation and presenting it in the altered way because I like the effect it produces. What's reality anyway, right? If you have any pictures that you prefer in a rotated orientation, let's see them. Here are three examples from my recent work. The first two are from a set in which the limber model hung in various ways from a grill atop a pipeline. The third picture came from a scenic cliff nearby. I do like the three images except that the hair is falling in the wrong direction in all 3 and the clouds in the first two. I'll grant that the hair in my three pictures doesn't fall in the direction you'd expect from gravity. That contrariness to reality appealed to me because it might startle a viewer with its different way of looking at the world. Jun 30 23 06:46 pm Link |
