I'm certainly not a newb any more by any stretch, but it feels its been a bit. I've been out of [people] photography for a pretty long while for a host of reasons - I think my last paid [human] shoot was sometime in 2015.

It's good to see some of the old recognizable names still imparting their knowledge, or at the very least their learned opinions, and interesting to see the same volatile topics from the mid 2000's still being discussed hotly (some dead horses just seem to be gluttons for punishment).

Looking forward to getting back sporadically into the swing of things, even though the swing is on fire in a hurricane, and hanging off a severely creaking branch (note to self: shoot idea - models on burning rickety old swings in high winds...).

Welcome back, although the title of the site should now be "The Absence of Both Models and Mayhem"
