About Me

Professional award winning/published photographer, Looking for adventurous, bold, fearless, brave female models interested in shooting Location/Outside Nudes (NYC Metro)! These are all location (outside) nudes.

My work, here or at:

If interested please send a link or a couple of photos.

New or inexperienced models welcome (FEMALE ONLY PLEASE)

Writing stuff for things like this is like having root canal for me. I seem to ramble, and without someone to keep me on track I just run amok. You might say I “lack focus.” I guess that's because I see things differently.

I believe I learned to re-focus my vision during one particular family car trip when I was a kid. My dad looked out the window and said, “That’s an odd place to hang a bicycle.” Well, I looked all over the place – high, low, left, right, near, and far – and I couldn't find that bicycle anywhere! Finally, I gave up and asked, “Where? I don't see it.” He said there was no bicycle, "But that WOULD be an odd place to hang one." To this day (50+ years later) I look around and think, "That’s an odd place to shoot a nude.”

I have re-worded my dad’s observation a bit from the original.

Some people call my type of photography "Guerrilla Photography" because we "Shoot and run!" However, at my age it's more like, "Shoot and walk away slowly – then go back and get the camera bag that I forgot."

I think of my work as "Serendipitous Photography"; I shoot what I find when we arrive on a location. I use natural, existing light. I try to compose each image to maximize the visual impact of the elements present: light and shadow, location, objects, and, of course, the model, who is the magic element that makes the inanimate objects come to life. I feel the key component in my work is the ability to collaborate with the models to create a shared vision.

I’d like to thank all the wonderful models I have had the Great, GREAT  good fortune to work with. Thank you for helping me to create these striking, serendipitous IMAGES!

Please Note!
My shoot are Weather Permitting, if we (either of us cancels because of the weather) we reschedule if possible. If not there is NO cancellation fee...

"Dave was such a pleasure to work with, can't wait to do it again sometime! We shot against a graffitied wall and at the beach at Fort Tilden. It's so rare that I get to go that deep into Brooklyn. He also sent me beautiful edited shots within a week, thanks so much Dave!" Read less
