About Me

I am a young Nikon NPS Pro Photographer, looking for models for portrait/glamour studio and outdoor sessions. A friend of mine wrote these lines about me:

Luigi Gallerani was born in Genoa in 1982. From a young age he discovered his interest and aptitude in science and graphic arts. Investigator adventurous, mature multifaceted experience in various disciplines. IUnformation technology and photography will be hist best passions on witch he build his professional carrier.

Since he was young, he was playing with the mechanical camera of his father, a Minolta SRT 1971. During the period of high school fell in love with photography in a more mature way. From the artistic point of view, he met and shoot with the great sports photographer Massimo Lovati.
The digital revolution, the transition from film to sensor, realized the perfect alchemy of photography and computer already loved by Luigi Gallerani.

Will own the new potential 'of the digital turn in Luigi desire to approach in a professional manner to that until shortly before it was just a hobby.

In the early years of college ', makes a great deal of field experience, those who know him long, can confirm the fact he was all the time with his camera. His photographs appeared within a few hours on his web server, he anticipated 'the phenomenon of social photography" now very popular on Facebook.

As a student, he can not afford big equipment, but uses every possible trick to take pictures even in extreme conditions, whether the interior of a cave or caving trip or the dark nights of concerts. Three Panasonic Lumix with Leica lens were, in those years, his favorite traveling companions.

His first Reflex was a NikonD40X. And it has been love at first sight. He used also Nikon D80, Nikon D200 before finally get again the same excitement of the first SLR with his Nikon D700.

Since 2007, he is a reference member in the Italian Nikon forum. He spent two full years studying photography. In that period his artistic production is 'deliberately low, because' Luigi researched in his studies, the full control of the artistic composition, expressiveness' of the human figure, and, on the technical side, he became one of the most expert today in the digital camera optics, studio lighting and digital color management.

In 2008 he arrived at CERN, where immediately became a CERN PhotoClub Member. He focused his attention on portrait and Glamour photography. He also completes his knowledt by making a wealth of experience in darkroom, learning the techniques of the analog film development, enlargement and printing.

In 2009 he received the Nikon NPS Switzerland card, he opened his first studio in Italy, he worked in the lab sessions in many official publications for CERN. He Organizes various workshops for success, studio photography and analog photography. In 2010 he was elected vice president of CERN PhotoClub.

In 2011 began to reorganize the material collected over many years of practical and technical operations in more than 2000 on the Nikon forum. Produce a prototype of the first objective Tilt, Shift, Rise & Fall for Nikon digital, a 80mm f/5.6 bellows. He writes a lots about photography on his blog luigigalleranifotografo.blogspot.com.

Luigi is a nice young guy, that loves photography, and, he is always ready to do his best to get best results. It has been a pleasure to be one of his models for his portfolio.
