About me:
My life is temperamental, rich, colorful, free, vibrant, glamorous, modern & stylish.... Just like my hair. I am a southern girl born and raised.I came from a family of very artistic talents. I grew up in a house where I was the youngest and the only girl. Mostly boy cousins as well. You'd think I would have been a total tom boy. I did like to play in the creeks and get muddy.But I still had that girlie thing in me that always wanted to put makup on everyone and everything. And do their hair as well. My poor kitty cats! Then, When I was a teen I started cutting my moms hair.I was the one that everyone went to do their hair and make up for the proms and pageants. Of course...I was always the last one to get ready! But that was fine with me.See, I have always had a passion for helping people. Even if it ment that I had to do without!!! Seeing someone smile is priceless. As I became older I decided to go to college and majior in screen acting and theatrical arts.I moved to Georgia and started Chuck Loller's Atlanta Screen Actors Studio with my best freind (Symone)We never laughed so hard as we did in there. But when reality hit,I had to remember that I was a mother...Did I mention that I had a baby when I was 17? So I decided to go to hair school. I've been doing hair and make-up now for about 15 years professionally and love every min of it. I work sometimes from 9am-10pm just so I can get all the clients in who need me.I hate turning people down when they need me.For a few years I was a representative for one of the most rockin companies in the bussiness. Called Sexy Hair Concepts. I travel all over and taught other hairstylists how to do the latest trends in cutting and how to use the products to rock the hair out! I loved working with Michael O'rourk Who is a world champion hairstylist and does hair in Hollywood and all over the world.You have prbably heard his name on T.V. He is also one of the most giving and selfless people one could ever meet. I aspire to be like him. I am a very selfless person who would give everything I have to help someone. I donate a lot of my time into the community doing things like cut-athons to help raise money for the children's shelters. I am a member of the Look Good Feel Better program of the American Cancer society.I help patients learn how to put wigs, makeup and eyelashes on so they can feel beautiful again.I am a member of the Georgia advocacy for pregnant teens (since I was one). I usually give speeches and talk to teens about what I went through as a teen and how hard it was for me to function in life because I was still a baby when I had one. I have a gift of being able to communicate well with teens and children of all ages.I love throwing charity functions for the needy and going to feed the homeless. Knowing what it is like because of living out of my car with my (then) one yr old for a year, I have a soft heart for them. I want to be remembered for so much more than being a hairstylist,make-up artist,actress,mom and friend when I die...I want people to be able to say that I helped them in some way and it changed their life for the better. I want to radiate God's love to help make this world...a better place.I am also a poet. I have been writting poetry since I was a kid.The best poems were written from a broken heart,being so in love that it hurts,wanting to cry when I watched my babies sleep because I love them so much,sitting by a brooke when I was a kid listening to the water trickle while I talked to jesus, or remembering something that made an impact on me. I have a way of expressing myself and my feelings very well on paper. On that note....I'm gonna ask you to vote for me.My name is Mary E. Johnston and I'm running for Mayor!!!.................Just kidding! ......I have recently opened my own establishment called Headstrong Studios and am Co-owner of a company named ADTASTE,so please.....to all of you locals...... come see us for photography,hair,make-up or laying out and producing marketing peices for your company.......Actually, you don't have to be local for the marketing pieces. I am a natural born marketing genius. I have helped people meet one another that have ended up accessorising one another's businesses very well to the point of making twice the money they would have made alone.I have ideas and visions of plans and events that would make anyone wonder why I am not a millionair yet. LOL! Just know that every move I make has something to do with marketing. Don't take it personal... I am just a business woman. I do love meeting people and making new friends though. Most of what I say is very sincere and genuine. I have a lot of respect in the community

I have done a lot of work for the Season's Magazine (modeling and hair and make up). I am tha sunglass model for Lestanne Optical in East Andrews (modeling). I have done extensive promoting and make up and hair for ads in Six Degrees Magazine. I also did Aron Andrews' make up and hair for a magazine based out of Miami called Moves Magazine. It was a 6 page lay out and six different looks. I recently was the exclusive hair, make up and fashion stylist for the R&B artist Music Soulchild's So Beautiful Video. I was a character on a morning Radio show for Island 106 in Florida. I was recently in a commercial for Livi Rea Lingerie on comcast. I was chosen to do a TV show on Style network TV called Instant Beauty Pagent Atlanta.
