Hayley Trezise is an independent designer working under the label ‘Raggedy’, creating unique and ethical fashion with an elaborate twist.

Vintage clothes, antique textiles and charity shop orphans are reworked to create new and vibrant clothing with a sumptuous textural feel that sticks out from the crowd.

Working with old tweed, knitwear and natural fabrics, she deconstructs clothing’s form and function, upcycling them with an entirely new shape and style.

Drawing on strong influences from the Victorian era, her designs twist history by mixing up fun and colour with layers and lace, reinventing yesteryears past for today’s future.

Scribble stitchwork and the accentuation of the female form are central to her work and she uses angular shapes, patchwork and asymmetrical sculptural curves to create this overall stunning effect.

With great attention given to stitching and subtle detailing, the clothes come together much like an art piece, often taking over and designing themselves.

At the heart of ‘Raggedy’ is a need to be raw and provocative.
Unafraid to experiment and follow intuition, unique designs are created with the belief that ethical fashion need never be conforming.
