My photography allows me to find who I am in this world in order to better understand my reality. Through this lens I can convey my interpretation of this world.
The people in my life inspire my vision. They help me to explore possibilities and introduce me to new inspirations and further explore the art of capturing images. These experiences have opened my mind to an untouched chapter in my new work. With each turn of a page comes a new beginning.
I am not only thankful to be living my dream, but also for the family, friends and acquaintances I have met along the way. These people are the anchor of my work because of their beautiful personalities, lifestyles, and appearances. I create concepts around them; I want my work to reflect who they are by showing them the beauty I see in them.
“Light: something that makes things visible or affords illumination.” (Dictionary) Light plays an importance in my work, because it determines the feeling and meaning of a photograph. My fascination with light allows me to be experimental. Light can be used to create moods, patterns, and other endless possibilities with photographs.
Different techniques and edits of photographs today have never-ending possibilities, and one ambition of mine is for my photographs to be viewed in a tangible way. When viewed, I want my photographs to embody the five senses: taste, smell, hear, see, and touch.
I am a growing photographer with the ambition to never stop learning. So many different things in everyday life have inspired me and I want to be an inspiration for others as well. Photography is my passion and it is who I am.
