I have always loved all of the creative arts. I need the act of making and crafting in my life. For fun, as a child , I started sewing. My mother taught me a basic crochet stitch the summer I graduated high school. I began making and selling accessories , as well as working as a model during college. While getting a Bachelor's of fine art at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, I studied sculpture and ceramics. After graduating I was a little remorseful that I hadn't pursued a fashion education even though I absolutely love sculpture and all of the fine arts. Since then I have been teaching myself new skills and techniques, In addition to investing in all kinds of tools, machines, and materials that aid in my creative lifestyle.Since I primarily taught myself how to sew , I recognized the need to expand my knowledge base. I recently started working part-time for a couture drapery studio, where my amazingly talented boss has been teaching me more professional methods and terminology. To me, a fun time is making something new, organizing a photo shoot, or hanging out with creative people. I am looking forward to expanding my business and doing more runway shows! I joined model mayhem to network with talented and creative people in Chicago, in addition to finding models for my designs.
