Hey everyone! My name is Kay-lee and I am currently in the process of setting up my own makeup and beauty business. As I build my portfolio I will post more pictures and keep you all updated on my latest work.

A little about my experience:

I have been in the hair industry my entire life. My mom was a hairdresser and taught me many of the things I know. I was cutting and perming her and my sister's hair from a very young age. My interest in the industry grew strong, as I enjoyed helping people to look their best. Eventually, I found work at a salon and have worked as an assistant in many different salons around the Calgary area, including an Aveda salon. I have learned and continue to learn a lot from this work but I also spend much of my spare time learning new techniques for doing hair and especially makeup. Beauty has become a passion of mine and and I love everything about making people look and feel beautiful.

What I love most about makeup are the different looks you can create - from the very simple to the extremely creative! I am always up for new challenges, whatever they may be!

While I may be in the process of building my portfolio, I have also done a lot of work already and would not consider myself an amateur. Many a beautiful bride and their bridal parties have entrusted me and my skills for their special days and I will continue to share my work with you as business grows.

What kind of work I would like to do:

If you are interested in creative makeup for an interesting event, you want to look good for your grad, wedding or other special event or you just want someone to show you new ways to wear your makeup please contact
me to arrange an appointment. I can also do a variety of beautiful and fashionable hairstyles, if required. However, my main focus is makeup. I also have many great connections within the beauty industry who are willing to work with me to create that perfect look for your special day.

In addition to helping people look their best, I would LOVE an opportunity to be a part of any unique and creative photo shoots. For example, if you are working on an art / photography project I would love to do the makeup for you. For these types of opportunities I would be willing to do trades for the photos (I will provide my services in exchange for the photos to build my portfolio) - something to think about!
