Karen Aplin currently thrives in the heart of Panama City, Panama working as a professional photographer and graphic designer. Her fascination for photography developed in the darkroom at the age of 12 and has progressively increased with time. Having been a collector of old photo albums, her photographic style was, and still is, very much motivated by the idea of preservation. Whether it be an obscure candid-moment in time, or a self-directed shot, she focuses on allowing the subject at hand (generally a human) to be as equally, if not more, important as the subjects’ location.

Since working as the Photography Director for Clutch Magazine, Karen’s photography has become more editorial and commercial based, however she never hesitates to intertwine her rooted style within her work.

By connecting through Model Mayhem, Karen intends to expose her work to a larger audience as well as attract a more diverse group of clientele!
