In 1998, an idea originated in a young man's head. A man trying to make a buck to pay for his business school tuition. A few months layer, the very seed was planted at the famous Boardwalk of Venice Beach, California. His passion of bringing arts and crafts from developing countries made Lakhay's Collection a free spirited, funky, trend setting, artisan made clothing and accessories company today.

Lakhay's Collection works with local artisans in Nepal, India, and Indonesia where employees are predominantly women. We believe in helping women in need, help themselves. These women are talented and hardworking but do not have access to market opportunities. With your purchase you are bringing them a step closer to their dream. Helping these women from developing countries with your purchase means a brighter future for themselves, their children, eventually communities and the nation itself.
