I am: A photographer and filmmaker, writer, painter & sculptor, singer. Graduate of U.C. Berkeley in Architecture/Environmental Design (B.A., magna cum laude). Winner of four Telly awards for video documentary work. Climber and hiker, and one who likes swimming in the cold and wide Pacific off San Francisco. I'm into harmony in life, family, friendship, meditation, Eastern philosophy, tai chi, yoga... and, among other things, lately exploring (artistically, of course, ahem...) the lovely sensual and sexual aspects of this marvelous gift we call life. No worries, though, I am the farthest you can imagine from being a "perv".
Please contact me for your paid commercial and portfolio development work in video or photography - I am very interested in working with you, and creating superlative images and films for you!
Note: here's my categorical response to a model who plans to bring her boyfriend to a shoot:
I think you are wonderful, of course, and therefore I am now looking to see if we can work together.
A problem exists: this may not be so for other people, but I have had bad experiences with model's boyfriends or other men that models bring with them to the shoot. These experiences range from the men subtly adding their own "input" and points of view, and influencing the model's communication and concentration with me, as well as inhibiting my direction of the model, to outright throwing jealousy tantrums and terminating the shoot. Ohhh, the male sense of entitlement and need to make a point, even if it is very subtle, almost not there, and the talent's dependency on those vibes, even if it is totally unconscious... I have tried extensively to welcome in my shoots these male presences who accompany the model. It does NOT work for me.
I am a very gracious and kind person to work with: the models are cherished and very safe working with me without having a bodyguard. At the same time, the models get the possibility to explore and express their skills, and their femininity, in a welcoming and totally safe atmosphere. They, and I, also have lots of fun, and the joy of exploring and creating beautiful images. Our creative communication lines however get very degraded having their friends or significant others around. If they also are models or photographers, ohhh my god!! This has been my sad personal experience that I am not going to repeat.
I tell you all this in perfect sincerity, and of course I do not know the gentleman that you bring with you, so all the above does not apply to him - but I am not willing to do the experiment again. I hope you understand.
With all my kindness and best wishes,

At present I am working in video, with the goal of creating outstanding videos for the collaborating talent (models, MUAs, designers, etc.), and for myself. They will be published in Vimeo Pro, and possibly in other venues as well.
I'll consider TF* work if you are a modeling agency level model: please contact me for this. Sometimes I will invite someone to shoot with me if I admire this person, and feel that we'll be able to create extraordinary images in a collaboration.
For TF* work I offer a temporary website or CD with the best images from our shoot, and will carefully edit in Photoshop the top 3 to 5 images of your choice, in high resolution for your personal promotional use and that of your modeling agency, if you have one. I always use the ASMP model release.
➜ Below these photos, please browse my lists to the best work I've seen here on MM from some of the models, photographers, MUAs and other artists I admire the most.
