I’ve been on the site for over six months but I just started participating in the fora a few days ago. I have been soaking them in for hours a day on average since I joined. I was originally attracted by all the drama. The first thread that I read on this site was about a photographer who was seeking advice because he had done some shots of a model who preceded to give them to a clothing company who was using them (without his permission) to advertise their line. The first couple of responses were from models who agreed that if they were photos of the model then she could do whatever she wanted with them. Eventually, more knowledgeable people entered the thread but I was worried at first. Some of the other threads that I read at the beginning of my stay were the model who just found out she was pregnant, but evidently had just found out she was pregnant a couple of months earlier and was confused about how many children she actually had; then there was the photographer who set up a shoot with a “professional model” who he discovered when she was loudly arguing about their prices at the local Glamour Shots and then found out when she showed up for the shoot that she wasn’t all that professional (go figure). There was the photographer who had been murdered (but really wasn’t), the model who was missing (but really wasn’t) and the model who sadly did overdose.  And then there was all the threads related to the International Photography Awards, which were very entertaining.

Granted, there are some idiots on the fora (I will not mention names) but that is counter balanced by the number of talented and knowledgeable people here. I always like to read the posts from people like TX Photog, Murphy Murphy Studios,  Alan from Aavian Prod, Ransom-The Cheese-J, Rachel Rose, Lisa Johnson MUA, Em Elle, Viktoria, Melissa Baker, Josie Nutter, Rena, and even the young Megan Mariee as they have a wealth of knowledge to share (this list is by no means all inclusive and just off the top of my head; please do not be offended if I didn’t mention you).

And, like almost everybody else on this site, I love The Jessalyn!

Anyway, look for me as you will see me participating much more now.

I've been here about two weeks and I've learned the best way to be seen is to interact in the fora. I have begun to post the last couple of days and I'm starting to get some feedback. It's great!
