This thread is a bit of the "glass half full / half empty" sort of thing. Ask any decent engineer that question and they will reply that the glass is half as large as it needs to be. Ask a scientist and he will try to determine where the other half went, while trying to figure out how the first half got there. This isn't being a "realist". It's being a nerd, basically. If I have a reasonably positive attitude, people seem to respond positively. My life is not rose-colored glasses and sugar plum fairies. But I would rather enjoy life than dig a pit of despair...
