You may not personally have any problems with your unprofessional manager, but it looks like your manager may be the reason that you're being put into situations that you don't like, like the one you talked about in your original post.

Even if you respect your "manager," you aren't going to get any great shoot offers through him unless photographers respect him as well, and I'm kinda getting the impression here that they don't.

Who cares.  We would make sure that it is not Q, though.  Now that's a real agency.

personally he has done well i checked before i signed with him. then there is a thing called business. If you are paying someone for their service thats all they should care about(or tfcd) but they shouldnt care about my management. My manager wasnt the cause of the situation. i read a post for a casting on mm and noticed something with someone. its that simple.

i was looking thru the castings(ny) area and seen a photographer(i can take better pix with my camera phone) and seen his pics and the things he is casting for and i just think its crazy how he is actually on here. i know i know my port is in need of major work. but if you see him its like he is worst then a gwc cause a least a gwc would have a real camera. and i even seen him nake d in a pic with the "model". he asked me before to shoot and i said i will talk to my manager and he said i dont work with ppl with managers and hung up on me.

to the point i know he offers pay(25 an hour) but i want to know how much is your respect worth. i had a girl he worked with and she was very upset cause he had her shoot outside on parked cars in a thong and she said the shoot was the worst (not blaming this guy) but again she should have seen his pics and knew hers would be no different and how much could someone pay you to lose your respect.

sorry for the long post

Trevina?  You're saying it's NOT about your phoney pimp, errr, MANAGER, but in your original post (section in bold) you made it clear it was.
YOU brought it up.

OP the proposition the photographer made doesn't sound very savoury.  That's for sure and I think we all agree on that. The manager bashing is simply us trying to give you some good advic e born ut of many years cumulative experience.  If even the photographer in the OP regards managers as a turn off, imagine what the non sleaze photographers think of them.

You're one of the prettier models in his stable (no disrespect there)
You've been on MM for a little over a month now. A manager is a manager.
He should be bustin' his ass to find you several good photographers to get your
port straight. Or at the very least get it to the point where they're kicking down your door.
Seems to me like you're doing all the leg work. Hope he's not getting a cut.

My respect:

Who steals my purse steals trash; ’t is something, nothing;
’T was mine, ’t is his, and has been slave to thousands;
But he that filches from me my good name
Robs me of that which not enriches him
And makes me poor indeed.

i didn't because i find the whole thing ironic.

*sigh*

getting back on topic, my respect is worth more than accepting any and every random gig.

the question seemed rhetorical to me, but i guess there are some people out there, unaware of how this industry works, that will take any and every job offered to them.....
