have been wanting to try this for a while and met a great model/artist to work together with and found the paints readily availible at a local costume store,thanks a million tabitha.

The lighting was a little harsh, and caused quite a bit of burn-out. I really like the pose, but the color is very subtle, and I think a change in the lighting could have made it outstanding. Take care!

thanks for the comments,i was probably so caught up in how amazing the silver body paint looked and the grey seamless backdrop was probably not the best idea,thanx

there is a matt patch on the right shoulder. the rest of her is shiny it is odd.

and she is blown out a bit too bright. her features are gone.
Silver is very hard to photograph.

the matt patch was the models idea,mixed silver with white paint,the red hue is actually a theatrical light to highlight her hair

the following is my IMHO... you asked

step away from the wall !  have model step away from the background about 8 feet at least..

swing main and fill extreme angle to right and left so light is not straight on (dont worry she will still be fully lit, just from steeper angles, which will accentuate body curves and reduce blowout and straight on flash reflection glare..

buy another light and spank her from 60 degree rear high ,as she is away from wall.. will provide separation add depth and again accentuate body curves and get some light on hair which is a solid undetailed mass...

shoot RAW and tweak file before tiff'ing into PS.. then tweak curves and levels in PS.. in other words much better editing is needed.. and no, you will not be violating a law of nature to enhance an image electronically........

looks good but a lil overexposed, thats the bad thing about reflective paints like that. You have to adjust the light meter to compensate for the light bouncing back off the metal. If you are shooting digital it gets tricked a lil easier by light and colours so what ever it says tone it down a tad. Looks good though
