This one perplexes me though. https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic_ ⦠id=4949780 I want to see more of the models and the boats and less of the grass. Do any any better shots from the shoot? This model ( https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic_ ⦠id=5801119 ) clearly has a hot body, but I am not digging the big sunglasses. Unless you were paid to sell sunglasses, delete this shot. I merely hides one of the sexiest parts of a woman ( the eyes ). This model is beautiful. Give us more of her. Just don't love this pose. Lets see closer shots of her. https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic_ ⦠id=4516191

Cool. I was not saying that you can't be a great pro and get paid to shoot what you love. Its just that Pros like you are very rare. I think most pros don't get to shoot what the love. Just the very talented, hardworking, lucky few. Love your work by the way. I guess that's why you should be good at what you love. I can't say that I turn away every project that I'm not truly interested in, but I do believe that if you're good at what you love, your passion for it will bring the paycheck. That's how it seems to work for me. I'd say that I love working on about 99% of the projects I take. The other 1% I've taken on because I needed work. I'll probably always do this, and I'll always hope that those percentages never change!

Same here! I like many of your photos and sent several comments. Your avatar is one of my faves. However, the highlights are a little too blown out and the face seems slightly cartoonish as if you did too much smoothing of the face. I love your 1930s Hollywood style. Keep at it and i am sure you will do well. While I like this one alot - https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … d=3689959. You did have to increase brightness in the shadows so much that it looks distractingly grainy. Love the shot. I would get that model again and perhaps use some fill flash to bring up the value in the shadows. At the very least it would be fun to shoot some more variations on the theme.

I would if i could paint, but i can't so i don't. My least favorite is this one - https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … id=6132167 Its pretty dull. Expression is flat and the low contrast drains out any interest I would have in the shot. If you are going for this type of a shot you really need a subject and expression that really grabs the viewer. I am sure you have better. Take it down and put up something better.

This is my favorite. https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … id=6143454 It is by far the most "real" shot you post. I mean it seems to portray the most real emotion. Don't get me wrong I like the other stuff to. My only real complaint is that you only posted 10 photos. I want to see more. So many ports have 40 shots posted and I recommend that people edit down to 20. Very few post show 10 and make me want to see more. So give it too us please. Oh and I would also like to see more shots with less makeup. It may be the style in the East but I like to see more skin and less makeup.

Having both on the port does not make sense to me. We get it. SHe looks good in b&w AND color. Pick one. Get out of the studio and shoot real outdoor shots. I find most studios shots so dry and clinical. THey don't seem to have any soul or context. They could be shot in Camden NJ or Paris France. We just don't know. I imagine you could find some good locations in someplace like Florida. Also pick one of the poses with the girl in the black check bikini. I would think you have other shots from that shoot that show some variety. Even if you simply cropped one tighter on her face and shoulders. Keep on shooting, you are a very good photographer - just give us more variety and better editing and choice of photos on your port.

Well I'm pretty new at this so I don't have that many different models yet..I'll add more I guess as I shoot more. As for the make-up issue, yah it's a very Asian thing because the Asian girls don't have such defined features (especially nose, eyes and cheekbones) like the Western girls - so they often need to be enhanced with make-up. Unless they are proto-asian of course and you are going for some Yoko look. Really appreciate the feedback though and will be working on providing more new images
