You know, I do think I read that the trouble with Graftobian was in relation to dry skin. I have Cinema Secrets and love it. I'm just trying to decide if I should get RCMA or OCC and just use it with a brush for people with dry skin. (I don't airbrush.)

I live and work in a SUPER dry climate where just about everyone is dry or dehydrated oily.  I use the Graftobian HD Creme and love it!  Of course, I also prep the skin with a hydrating serum & moisturizer (I use MUFE HD Elixir & Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre and let it absorb into the skin for a few minutes before applying).  I always set it with tinted loose powder, patted on with a brush, not lightly swiped on (especially if they are more oily).  The key with applying Graftobian HD (at least for me) is to use a super dense medium sized domed face brush to "buff" this into the skin.

Hope this helps a bit!

I mostly need a foundation for mature skin (mother of the bride), so I'm not sure that would work for me. I would rather have to thin it then keep layering. I have heard Joe Blasco of Face Atelier is what I'm looking for, but I know nothing about either. Anyone else have experience with those?

I have used FA for over six years now and it is my go-to for bridal makeup (unless they want airbrush).  Just have to make sure to shake them well before dispensing as the pigment tends to separate from the silicone base.  I use the same type of brush as mentioned for the Graftobian to blend these into the skin for an "airbrushed" finish.

Side note - If someone is so dry they are flakey, the Embroylisse works great for this.  Just dab onto the flakey spots and let it sit for a few minutes.  The skin literally just drinks this right up.  Then before applying foundation, smooth the dry spots out using downward motions only.  When you apply the foundation, take care using a circular motion around any flakey areas as you don't want to undo the work you just did in smoothing them out.

Thank you!

Oh here, I found the thread where people mentioned having great difficulty with Graftobian on dry skin:
