Just a heads up: I'd be very interested in shooting at both the old mill dam and (if the current weather prediction holds up) doing some "rainy day shots with umbrellas and the like. If either idea sounds interesting to you, please let me know.

I'm pretty sure it's okay as long as they're not within your reach while you're in the car. I had a couple of swords in my car when I was pulled over and the officer told me I could get arrested for having weapons within reach of an officer, so i'm sure they will be fine in your trunk if they're properly cased and all that.

EDIT: I got pulled over in CT.

Is there a dress code or suggested attire? I'm not planning on bringing extra outfits, should I be?

If you're going to do some shooting with different photographers, I would. But of course, it's up to you.

hey hey kiddies!

just a thought...
i'm going food shopping in a little bit and am going to be picking some stuff up to bake for saturday; still haven't quite decided what...was just wondering if anyone has any food restrictions (perhaps that aren't necessarily being met by the other items being brought)?

allergies/intolerances...vegans...religious/kosher practices...?

anyone feel free to sound off or PM me; i know firsthand it sucks to be in a buffet setup with nothing to choose from!

...also willing to consider special requests/preferences, if anyone's longing for something specific and tasty! big_smile

thanks guys!

I'm not an expert but IMHO I don't think that it is illegal to transport the swords in the trunk. Firearms are a different story, my guess is that you need a gun permit and I think that there are other requirements if you are carrying firearms across state boarders.

Please don't get yourself in trouble bail can be expensive!

No dress code... It's up to you what you do or don't wear!

I'm sure that others are bringing suitcases full of random wardrobe and ideas for themselves.

And BTW - Does anybody have a long clinging dress with long sleeves size 2 (or XS-S) or could be a little bit larger and pinned? (not for me to wear, I'd look awfully silly in it!!! not to mention that I'd pop every seam!) ~ thanks. smile

If anyone wants to work with me, I request that you send me a note and ask so we can set that up... I'll be coming from an early morning funeral and only want to do a limited number of things. I'll put this in all of my previous replies to this thread.

Hey, if I bring some of my fun little wardrobe pieces, will there be anyplace I could hang/leave them? I have no problem having them on the floor as long as I know they're not going to be stepped on or be the victim of spilled food/drink. I just thought it would be fun to offer some cool outfits if photogs wanted to use them on me or any other model that's my size smile

Waterfire weather update from their site.

Weather Updates:

(Updated: 9/25/08 9:00 AM):  WaterFire tries to continue unless a major storm is forecast.  We are closely monitoring the weather forecasts for the 27th (which at the moment are not favorable).  Please check back often for regular updates on both weather and special events for this evening as the date becomes closer.

There is a separate room for models, makeup, and hair. It's away from where the food will be and should be a safe place for your wardrobe.

Thank you for your generosity in sharing your items with us!

Are any photographers looking to shoot specific looks or concepts? I want to bring wardrobe pieces that will be used and since i'm only going to be here for a few hours, I really want to make the best of our time and get some fun photos. If you've seen my port, you'll know that i'm a chameleon of sorts so i'm up for anything crazy, weird, sexy, fun, creepy, pretty, stylish, whatever we can come up with!!
