Andrew, does the photographer have to email you in advance with his intent to participate?  Does he/me need to be added to a list of those particpating/submitting images prior to the submission?  Also when do submissions have to be in by?  Thanks.

No notice of intent is needed from you or the photographer.

There is no list of models or photographers.

I have not yet set a closing date or end of submissions date. I want everyone to get a good chance to set up and create some great images.

It will probably be around the end of September or maybe mid October depending....

Besides fitting the theme and specs, the only other requirements are that the image not be older than 6 to 9 months, and that they have NEVER been posted online or in any print form.. (ie: no books or magazines) As we advertise the books as NEW and NEVER before seen images.

I've posted casting calls, too, with not much luck. You've got to contact the models personally.

Hi!  Just found this.  I'm fairly new to MM but really old.  52 with not cosmetic surgery for face or body (well, got my teeth fixed but four of them were knocked out due to a motorcycle accident:-(

Most of pics are really recent, the oldest in '09.

Hope you like:-)

Oh, and now that I've read more, I'll look through my recent shots and send you some, Andrew.  Hopefully you will like some of them.  I just put one up in my port (Union Jack theme) that was shot last Thursday.  I'm so-o-o happy with it!

Good advice. I'm starting to think it's not worthwhile to devote too much time to checking/applying for castings so perhaps that is also the experience of models in your area. There have been a couple of exceptions, but overall I've found the great majority of castings are looking for younger models (no surprises there). Direct approaches - from them or me - seems to be working better and wastes less precious time.

Posting here will get attention from photographers who want to work with women over 40.. and we would love to have you in our Over 40 book project.

Tony/Tami.. You can always do a browse here on MM, Browse with a ocation or radius of your location, pick models that are near you in Ohio, and message them. Tell them what you are looking for, what it is all about and what you are willing to give them as it is TFP/CD. That will sometimes get to some of the models that do not look at the casting calls here on MM.

Ok.. I have heard from a number of Models and Photographers From the U.S., Australia, England, Wales, Scotland, and Canada. I even had women on FaceBook who are not members of MM show interest.

So With everyone I have heard from and from those I have Pm'd with it looks like this will be a great book.

I am setting the submission deadline to November 11th. Thats 11/11/11!!!

And I should have the book laid out and uploaded to the printer/publisher shortly thereafter.

So once again it should come out in time for Christmas gifting. (I dont plan this to happen).

So.. everyone get out there and shoot, shoot some more and then some more. Then submit images as to the specs above...
