Quebec City is very pretty from what I saw. A world away from Montreal.

U can say that again! Even the mentality of people and their general manners and treatment of others.

I have heard horror stories from tourists in Quebec City, but personally I didn't experience it there in my very brief drive thru. smile

horror stories can be found everywhere.
Québec is living from tourism and public servants mainly.
Just on Saturday walk, I crossed path with Chinese, Japanese, Lebanese, Indian, French and Ontarian tourists. And it's the 'dead' season

Yes, but every place has it's good and bad.

I know someone who loathes Quebec City from his experience there. I was fortunate to have had the opposite experience with people more then willing to speak English with me and not be rude and ignorant about it like so many are in Montreal.

I got really overwhelmed because I needed to find a washroom, but I didn't know how to ask it. The guy was really nice about it. smile

Well, how should I know? I live in an igloo. All I can do is repeat what I hear. Actually, since Canada got cable a few yrs ago I've been watching some of those redneck shows and I have not seen corners anywhere, so who knows! sad

I told you my igloo is your igloo. Anytime you want to watch cable, just load up the sled dogs and come on over. But bring beer.

Guess what!? I'm very sick. I'm not supposed to be on the computer, strict bed rest and no solid foods or else! Send me positive energy.

I'm not better, just going stir crazy.

Tomorrow will be 4 wks. Four long weeks, but I feel bad complaining, so many people r so much sicker for so much longer. I think the real torture isn't as much of being sick as it is not knowing the seriousness of it all.

I don't want to complain. I'm so sick of being scared and bedridden. It's been over 4 wks like this. It could be worse, I could KNOW I'm dying.

Yesterday I started looking on the bright side. I have done and am doing everything I possibly can, the rest is out of my hands. What's supposed to be will be.

At least I have a couple true friends like you who always check in on me. Hugs!

Fears aren't so bad. It's phobias you have to look out for.
