We are setting up a Meet-n-Greet for the members of Model Mayhem who are located from Bradenton/Sarasota south to Ft. Myers/Naples for Saturday, January 17th, 3pm till ?? @ ( T/B/A ) in the Port Charlotte / Punta Gorda Area.



This event is open to all Models, MUA’s, Stylist's and Photographers who would like to attend this fun event. There is no official "membership" or organization nor are there any dues or fees to attend a meet.
The locations will vary from meet to meet. We will try and center the meet around each area as a new meet date is set.  The First meet will be around the Sarasota area, then the next meet will be around Port Charlotte and so on..  We are trying to set up a meet possibly 3 times a year about every 4 months. Please try to make them all if possible.

      September - Sarasota Area ( great turnout )
      January      - Port Charlotte ( in the process )
      May             - Ft. Myers  ( coming soon )

Southwest Florida MEET & GREET Information
Each gathering will be around an area suitable for setting up quick shoots for Models and Photographers who would like to see how each interact with the other but remember - shooting is completely optional and not "Required" to attend. We will try and select a location for the meet that will allow for shooting if you so desire. Meets may be an indoor location with backdrops, etc or an outdoor setting like a local park, beach, etc.

Photographers - Chance to mingle, meet, network, as well as get your questions answered in person by any one of your peers, check out the local models for future assignments before you book them, meet new models that you never knew before and would definitely like to work with them in the future.

Models - Chance to mingle, meet, network, network, network and start booking shoots. There will be photographers from your surrounding area in attendance. If you would like to book a shoot or just don't know the best way to go about it, come on down.  It is a great chance to meet other Models and bounce ideas and questions off of them.

MUA's & Stylist's - Again...mingle.. mingle.. mingle. Talk to Photographers & Models about your past work and upcoming projects you would like to work on.

All Attendee's - Please remember to bring Business Cards or something with your information so both Model, MUA's and Photographers can get back with each other. It would be a very good idea to bring portfolios with you, particularly if you are a photographer or MUA so that people can familiarize themselves with your work.

We are currently looking for a location between Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. Our thoughts and comments from the Sarasota meet was to have possibly a Hotel with an outdoor Grill/Bar and a small conference room where we could set up
a few backdrops for Photographers to shoot Models indoors and still have the option for shooting on the waterfront as well.

If anyone from that area knows of a place or wants to recommend I check it out, please let me know.  I will be scounting the area in a couple weeks for possible locations.  I will also work on trying to find a Hotel to offer us Special room rates for anyone traveling
who would prefer to spend the night.

Keith, we may actually do better in securing a location as we get a little closer to the date.  If the economy stays like it is, the snow birds will be staying home and the business folks will be a little more amenable to an event like ours.

It's like a friend of mine who works in the hotel business tells me -- Some money is better than no money.

That may actually be a very good idea.  If things keep going the way they are at the moment, everyone will be looking to make money any way possible. 

A little profit or even breaking even is better than taking a loss.  At least it helps keep you going through the lean times.
