Hi! I am a make-up artist interested in body painting and am working with an airbrush. I have airbrushed before but mostly with water based paints. Wondering what other make-up artists like and recommend for airbrushing and other mediums to airbush with. I have heard good things about Kett and Temptu. I think MAC has a line out now too? Any help is greatly appreciated!-Becca

Hey Becca,

For Body Painting, where longevity of wear is a concern, alcohol-based body makeup is your best bet, as these formulas tend to be the longest lasting, and are usually waterproof, sweatproof, and don't smudge or rub off.

I should disclose that my line makes one, but that's not why I'm recommending them to you: they are what's been favored by airbrush body painters for years, and is what I have personally always used in my freelance for this purpose.

Good luck!

I'm looking forward to trying this product...

Most alcohol based bodypaints I've tried (that are "affordable") are just too transparent for some applications... too heavy an application and it's sticky time.

I''ll pair the durability of the alcohol products with the opacity of a water-based that has been thinned with setting mixture.

Best of both worlds!!

Hey Guys!

Thanks for the hearty recommendation Erin, and for your interest Battledress.

Battle, I shared the same frustrations you do which I is why I endeavored to develop a superior body paint. If you do decide to try it, I'm sure you'll be really happy with both the coverage and longevity of the product. I'm also committed to continuously developing a wide array of colors to avoid being just another line with all the same colours. Put simply, my goal is to innovate, not to replicate.

Best of luck, and again, your work is amazing.
