When my Photoshop tries to open, i'm getting a configuration error:

"Please uninstall and reinstall the product.
If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.
Error:6
http://www,adobe,com/support/"

Does anybody know what cause's this? Or how to fix it without having to go about a huge deal? I'm on a preview' version so It's a little harder than "uninstall and reinstall"... hmm

i think it means you don't have enough disk space with cs5... (cs4 it meant license expired...)

check windows event viewer for more details on why photoshop crashed if disk space wasn't the issue.

Most probably a Corrupt Windows Registry or overloaded Windows System.
Scan your computer and see:

There are also free Registry Cleaners: Google.

Error 6 in Photoshop probably means your license has expired. If you're seeing that, rather than a message saying that you're trial is up. I assume you have a legal copy of the application.

Try resetting the Photoshop preferences so you don't have to reinstall it.

Update your version of Photoshop to the latest version in case it's a bug, presuming you can use the program.

If it doesn't help; a few questions.

Are you on a MAC or Windows?
What version of the operating system are you using?
What version of Photoshop did you used before on the same computer?
Did that version of CS5 ever worked before?

Try running as administrator if you're running Windows 7; this happened to me smile

It would be polite to at least tell us what fixed it?
