Sorry about yesterday, not sure what happened.

I spent 13 hours in an airport dealing with stupid people from American Airlines.

Anyway, we'll get todays contest started early and hopefully back on track.

Whoops. Didn't know you posted a new thread each day. My bad.

So here goes:

Photographer Image Unlimited 785507, Model Maria Dana 1937267. I started by adjusting the saturation, then added layers of tint, created the cigarette smoke, added the face in the door medallion, changed the Snow Queen's eyes, added her companion and his watch. Actually I was inspired by the door medallion -- I "saw" the face in it and everything else kinda suggested itself (a fantasy setting).

I know this is a topless shot but I hope its ok smile
Model was shot in chromakey holding  a green walking stick. The background was built from several stock pieces and then the spear, cat, mist, birds etc were added. The tattoos were also added on post.

Entry: Alien Beauty
https://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa159/jtiasgaard/Alien.jpg
Here was my entry for yesterday, but I'll put it in today.

I wanted to make a beauty shot that was of an alien.  Thus, I took a photo of an egg and reshaped it into an "alien-like" shape.  I then put a picture of a model's face over that and stretched and repainted it using liquify, clone stamp, etc until it fit.  I then went in and extracted eyes and made them larger, then repainted in a nose that was tiny.

After this, I had to go in and take pieces to repaint the body in with "alien-proportions."  Nothing original is left.  It was very time consuming but interesting to try.  The goal was to make an alien that was still attractive.  Not sure if I succeeded, but I had fun trying.

Oh, one last thing... I put it on a background, but it didn't jive with the feel of "beauty."  Thus, I left it the way a beauty shot would have been (of course, technically that would just be the face... but that wouldn't depict the alien nature enough).
