MUFE pro card
Hey! I'm a makeup artist/hairstylist, and most of my business comes from bridal and special events. I haven't made the leap into editorial yet, which is what I'd love to eventually do, but now to my question. I was at the Makeup Forever site looking to apply for my Pro card, and these are the requirements: Magazine tear sheet with name credit** Reel with name credit Program/call sheet Union membership card Agency representation (sponsored comp card, representation later, link to roster) The problem is that I dont have any of the above since I don't really do shoots yet, and Im not part of a union. Is there anyway to get around that? I would appreciate any suggestions/tips. Thanks! May 03 11 09:49 pm Link NathalieM wrote: Um apply for a diff pro card like M.A.C, Bobbi Brown or NARS? I really dont think there is any way around the requirements. I have a friend who i the same but i wasn't sure if they gAve it to her bc she went in to the boutique. I'm going to send copies of my other cards, my site, and a bridal contract. Thanks for your input May 08 11 10:47 am Link You can apply for a discount at Naimies.com, which is a little more lax on their requirements, and order MUFE straight through them. It's the same, 40% discount. May 08 11 12:48 pm Link Bethany Ruck Makeup wrote: Thanks! Im in the process of applying May 08 11 06:22 pm Link And can I say how much I love Naimie's? They're so nice! May 08 11 07:47 pm Link I might say that copies of all other pro cards+business card+bridal contract did NOT work for me with MUFE :-( May 11 11 09:11 pm Link NathalieMillz wrote: Email all your information here:( [email protected]) and write PRO CARD in the subject field, you should get a reply by the next day, or give the pro loft a call, and ask to speak to the person that takes care of the pro cards.
