Two things....

One thing about McDonalds is you get the same burger and same fries in PA, Minneapolis or even in Bolivia.
Wilhelmina is also a chain/franchise - the point of a chain/franchise is the same service here and there.

As for fees - if they ask, leave.

I am also wondering about this agency, having recently moved to the Midwest. I am curious about peoples' experiences with them.

Whether you're an actor or a model, you need to have professional headshots/comp cards, etc. Those things cost money. There's an inherent cost in marketing yourself. What sends up a red flag for me is when the agency wants you to use "their photographer" or pay to have your photo on their website.

Now I understand the Midwest has a different market than L.A. & NY. Not a lot of high fashion/runway work. So is the cost of spending (your) money using their photographer, MUA & website worth it? Is there enough paid modeling work in Minneapolis to help you earn that back quickly?

Any experiences to share?
