I've got some time off and I haven't been in here for a while smile.

I'll let you know your Best and Worst photo(well in my opinion).

If you're feeling generous please do the same for me(but not required), I'd be interested to hear some opinions.

I might put my reasons, or I might not, depends on how I'm feeling. Feel free to ask if I haven't.

Go ahead, V.

You have better photos, but I personally like how you look in this one. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/24868240

I would just leave one panda picture.

This isn't your best or worst BUT it is the photo that first caught my eye and I keep coming back to and I like it a lot! https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/28254065 18+

This one really bothers me. I don't think it flatters the model at all in any way and I don't really think that the lighting or the cropping is good for your portfolio. Kinda stands out like a sore thumb.

This was a hard one! I'm going to try to not be longwinded as I have a lot of opinions about your portfolio(failed).
First of all this is a beautiful capture and a great complimenting photos of her: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 6#29177056

I feel like this photo is a sore thumb for you: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 6#27940886
The framing is off, the cropping, the model's face looks uncomfortable, her hair...lots of things about this bother me.

I see 2 things that you should work on if you want to get better.
1. Hair!
I'm not sure if you have a hair stylist, if you don't this is still important. Make sure you pay attention to what the hair is doing in the photo. Is it styled to be messy? Or is it just messy and in the way? Is it textured and out of control in a sexy way? Or is it just frizzy and in need of some product?
Some hair mess ups can be fixed in post but most of them you just want to see by checking what you're getting during the shoot. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 9#30053159 the first photo of these shots....Why did you chose it? What is it showing off? The arm band? The armpit? Doesn't need to be in your portfolio.
Sorry if that was harsh ^_^. Learning to pick photos better for your portfolio is a good thing to learn(I still suck at it from time to time!)

2. Hands and arms.
An unfinished pose or a weird one with your arms or hands will distract and ruin a photo. Yeah this is generally the models fault but it's also your job to make sure you catch it and fix them or just not post those photos.
https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 4#29512464 Super cute photos! The one on the right...what are they doing with their hands? Distracted by it.
https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 6#24752806 photo on the right, awkward hip hand and lost the other arm to her butt it would seem ^_^.

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 7#30053157 Hair and hands, odd cropping off of hands.

Ok enough of the harsh bluntness. I only did this cause I see a portfolio that has amazing potential. You're right on the edge of going to the next level, of stepping it up a notch. If you're selling to people who want to look good it's important to make them look good big_smile. You have a great ability to capture natural beauty and moments. I think you will do great things.

You've worked with some of my friends! Yay! Lol so hard not to pick them as my favorite.
https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 1#29989201 this on though is amazingly beautiful.

Quick question, a lot of your photos are very grainy on here, is there a reason for that? Are you scanning film?
https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 5#29303465 I don't really like how her arm is cut off and she looks very worried about something. Almost dead eyes.

What is going on here? Not a good photo tongue.:

Oh and you might want to put some photos in between these two cause it's a little odd to have the same pose but different shoot right next to each other:

Thanks V,
I overworked some of these. I'll look again at the one that looks worried...may remove it.

Your work is so good its hard to critique.

This one needs to go. It's not very flattering of her imo (she looks tired and her hair is faded)and it's been there a while. Out with old, in with new! https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 8#17372927 18+

Our styles are vastly different but I can still appreciate your work.  My least favorite is this one https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30172751  I am not crazy about the crop or lighting. I can't seem to limit myself to one favorite so I will grudgingly limit myself to two.  This one is outrageous https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/14771691 and this one which is just exceptional https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/25972503
I just ran across a couple more "best ones" but that would further dilute the purpose of this, wouldn't it?

Thanks for the insights.
This one I keep wanting to see in color or slight color? I feel like it's too muddied down by all the things in the photo to be good black and white. There's just so many things in it. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 0#28245000

I love this one, so simple and beautiful: https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 6#26838086

I think it's time for you to take some risks. Either with color, setting, poses...Not sure what but it's time. It'll help you go to the next level.
