They're doing it at my place of business... I have terrible motivation in regards to working out, and want to do it as incentive (I'm not a big guy, but still wanna drop 15ish) But I would get yelled at so much! You should have heard them when they were all eating BBQ (free lunch from one of our vendors) when I said I didn't want any cause of my diet. Grumble.

Just say you aren't hungry or somethin'. Good luck on the working out! I just picked it back up again recently. Since I am only really doing my favorite active things more vigorously than I have been as my work-out (dancing combined with weight training), I now only hate the sweat part. I hate sweating.

Then in 10-15-20 years you can visit them in the hospital having recovering from a heart attack, stroke, taking insulin shots, or at worst...have some BBQ ribs while standing at their grave. Seriously...if people were making fun of you for wearing ear plugs, steel toes shoes, a hard hat, eye protection, seat belt, etc. when you were supposed to...would you take them off because of peer pressure? Fuck them. Wildcat

We've done similar competitions 2x at work. I'm not allowed to play anymore. Took 2nd and 1st. Focus on healthy calories and general exercise.

FMS makes working out suck... hence the need for motivation (like taking money from coworkers who shovel cake whilst complaining about being overweight.)

They hated even more that I would eat BBQ for lunch and have a cupcake and still lose more weight in a week. You can have BBQ and a cupcake if you're not also having a huge roll at breakfast and cake at dinner.

You should have seen when I was toning up for the wedding...people at the gym treated me like I was nuts because they thought I was trying to lose weight.

Nothing wrong with that (being careful about what you eat)...it probably just makes their fatasses feel guilty for the 3kC burger they ate for lunch Whenever I say I'm going to the gym I get death stares. My coworker gave me a hug and was like wtf, where's your waist??? LoL It's weird, I know I'm thin...but when I look in the mirror I see average thin...but when people talk about my size it sounds like they see skeletal thin. I don't know if it's a POV thing or if it's that America is fat. ETA: when I got my fingers measured for my wedding ring, she told me to eat a burger. I want to say I was a size 4...but I don't know ring sizes so I may just be pulling that out of my ass. Jay probably remembers...

Yeah I have one of those ridiculous metabolisms that allow me to sit on the couch and eat Twinkies, but still lose weight. Its actually more of a curse to me that a blessing, but this thread is one of the few things that make me glad I am a skinny bitch.

For the better part of the las 8-10 years. Some of my nicknames from people are: gutter gut, garbage disposal, iron stomach, and bottomless pit. It's kind of ridiculous how I used to eat, just ask Kitty. Now that she has me eating healthier ..... I'm sticking closer to the high end of my average weight.

I know I'm much smaller than the average American, but I also know I've been really lazy and have gained some extra fat. I'm not overweight in the slightest, but for my frame, I'm far from underweight. And I'd rather stay on top of it than have to try and get back to "normal" weight It wouldn't surprise me if you have a size 4 finger. When I was measured, they said I was a 4.5 but I got a 5 just in case I gained weight soon (i.e. became pregnant). Since working at my company, I discovered I'm a true 4.75 really...but noooo, my original jeweler only down half sizes .

If I gained 10 lbs I'd go on a diet. It wouldn't get passed that. How do people gain hundreds of pounds? It baffles me. I can see if they get into an accident or something and have a dramatic change in their activity level but otherwise... Jay said it was between a 4 and 4.5 and I went with the 4.5 to be "safe" but it's a bit big on me.

I let myself get up to around 108 lbs before "dieting" (i.e. skipping the sugary desserts and getting my heart rate back up). 'Cause even though the charts say I'd still be "normal" at 120 lbs...yeah...not with my frame.

It's weird how much ideal weights change based on body types cause you look perfect the way you are but yea, I'd look like Skelator(sp?)! I think we're about the same height, I may be a little taller but not much. The chart is just retarded...it says that at 114 I become underweight and I was 110 at my wedding and I'm 113 now...at my wedding, looking back I was a little on the thin side...but I wouldn't say I was underweight. I was getting there and once I saw the pics, I put on a few...but I definitely wasn't unhealthy looking. Buuuuut I also know someone who's my height that *does* look like Skelator at 110...actually two people. Iz weird.

I start looking on the unhealthy side around 98 lbs, I feel and look my best (in my opinion) at 101-102 lbs. I'm currently 106.5 lbs. Crazy what five-ish pounds does. My sister, on the other hand, weighs 115+ yet looks crazy skinny. But, she is a marathon runner and lets her weight fluctuate to accommodate for those 26.2 miles.

I think most of it is that when people look in the mirror, they are closer than they are when they look at other people and they look harder. Five pounds doesn't *really* make that big a difference. If your weight has fluctuated, I never noticed it. But you do because you look closer. I think that's why I think the gym has "magic" mirrors. I'm standing the same distance away as I would looking at other people so I more or less see myself as others do.

What's hard for me is if I fluctuate in an unhealthy manner (i.e. too much sugar), my face and upper arms start looking swollen/squishy. My face is a wretch to begin with (as in I could easily pass as a fat person in a headshot), so when I'm swollen...
