I feel like my portfolio is getting too large or maybe I'm just tired of staring at it.
What would you delete from my portfolio if you had the power?

I'll return the favor.

I like 3, 18 & 21.

I'd lose the rest.

hmm. most would disagree about that, but thats ok.

Sorry my critique upset you to the extent that you needed to invoke the 'and everybody else thinks so too' justification.

I would probably delete these: (all 18+)

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30025752 several other of the same look this one is less dramatic

https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/30080474 & https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/29620607 the centered composition is a bit bland and the lighting gives it a bit of a fake background look

That's just my simple opinion. You have some beautiful work.

Thanks! You picked a couple I've been on the fence about so I'm definitely taking your opinion into consideration.
And thank you for the compliment as well.

For you:
https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/pic/20122859 it doesnt make sense to me!

I don't think these three do anything to help your port.

Thanks! Heh one was covered by someone before you tongue Not sure which one.

You have way too much hand bra.
I would rid of these two for starters (the rest are better)

I would get rid of your avatar....you are beautiful and that shot is not flattering to you at all.

Heh if I do that, what should I use instead? Most of my work is nude so Im never sure what to use while still keeping current.

I, too, would get rid of your avatar.  The light doesn't flatter you.  But I love the rest.  If another had to go, it would be the mine entrance shot.  I love it but think it probably works better in the photographers portfolio.

Thats a kind critique hehe.
If I took down the avatar, what should I replace it with?
I mostly have nudes and dont really know what to use thats PG and still current.

I'm already a fan of your work so its a hard pick here as well.

I picked this one because it's not quite as good as the other shot of Eleanor next to it smile

That is funny, I didn't even look whose was whose (and I try not to let that influence my opinions.)

Yup, those are on the chopping block.

When I review a portfolio, I always like to check if the model has teeth!  So, when you are finished deleting stuff, I would suggest adding a nice head shot that proves you have teeth.

I was shooting a new model once and she was paying me.  She looked good from her port but when she showed up for the shoot I quickly found out that half her teeth were rotten.  I was rather put off by it and would not have agreed to the shoot had I known this ahead of time...pay or no pay.  Now, I always check to see if the model has teeth!  LOL!

I would delete  1,8,9,12,14,17,22,27

some of these are just snap shot like and dont give your port a professional look, or are just bland except for a naked androgynous woman in it.  A good guide is to imagine an old man in a tshirt and jeans as the subject rather than a nude woman and then ask is it a strong image.

Many of the photos don;t reveal what else you can do except get naked.

I dont think you have a smiling photo in your port or one that shows any sense of joy- lots of despair, nihilism etc

As for your avatar I would suggest the head shot in the bath tub with fingers clenched.  It's a strong shot - it is more in line with all the work in your port (the current avatar seems out of place)

Thank you for the review, I am definitely going to take that into consideration. I'm still falling into my niche as far as nude genres go, and working on expressing so hopefully that will improve as my portfolio continues to grow (and the reason I'm trying to downsize it to most popular or best representing photos).

As for you I picked
https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/p … 8#21874178
Its the only photo in yours that I didnt like, and I really dont like it. Your work is so high quality but this shot is out of focus, grainy, too dark, unposed.

Oh and I thought about using that one as my avatar but I wasnt sure if it would be allowed. I have it marked 18+ even though you cant quite see anything more than pubic hair through water.

I am not ONLY a fetish model. Keeping just a fetish or rope shot would send the wrong message .
