Hello Everyone! My name is Vanessa. I just started modeling this year and would love to some serious feedback and critiques. I have noticed that each time I photograph there is significant improvement. But I would like to push that to the next level. My goal is to model for fitness and yoga magazines/journals, editorial spreads, glamour (hair/makeup), print ads and stock photography and commercials. I am very serious about the industry and am working hard to pursue this. In the mean time, I wish to build my portfolio and choose the best images. I have many more images than what is here that are diverse in my areas of interest. What are some strong shots and which ones are not as strong? ALSO, how many photos do you usually bring to an agent to become represented? I am interested in becoming agency represented soon. Thank you everyone in advance! One of your stronger images but it has room for improvement Looking at the eyes, do they look as sharp as they should be Was too wide a lens used that makes the nose appear larger then life Since this is for a models portfolio, a vertical orientation for a portrait in the norm Hair not perfectly under control, fly always and bending at shoulders, should be a gentle cascade Great smile and beautiful brown eyes The bright sky is a distraction, and really does not need to be in photo, could start top of photo at the sand Like the fact you are showing your athletic ability Great smile again Try not to loose feet and hands when being photographed [If you show the elbow include the hands, if the knees are there include the feet] Think if you reversed which knee is up and included your feet the mage would be stronger Go to the agencies web site for model and photo requirements Wish you success!
