MUFE HD Foundation
Not only do I personally love this foundation, I take pride in my kit and having the best of products. I've been thinking of changing my foundation pick from Make-up Designory cream foundations to just MUFE HD. I really cant see myself with getting and actually using all of those shades,(they are expensive!) so I was wondering if there are certain shade #s that I should get to start things off and maybe to custom mix two to create a tone... also, i was wondering if there is anyone else here that uses MUFE HD in their kits and how they condense to save some space or if you just leave them as the bottles how they come? Oct 10 12 06:47 pm Link Roshar uses only 2 or 3 shades of MUFE HD in his kit. You just mix the shades according to the skin tone. Use MUFE flash palette to adjust undertones. Oct 10 12 06:59 pm Link I put them into 1oz. plastic squeeze bottles, same as all the other liquid foundations I have. Then I use a label maker to put legible labels on them so I can tell which is which. In MUFE HD, I have 115, 117, 177, and 185. That combined with Temptu color adjusters in red, green, yellow, black and white allows you to get just about any possible tone you could want. The same Temptu color adjusters work with most other liquid foundations as well. I would also recommend trying out Boots Firming and Lifting foundation. It is remarkably similar to MUFE HD, IMHO, and has a couple very useful shades that I wish MUFE had as well. Covers the yellow and orange tone range very, very well compared to any other line. I often mix MUFE HD with Boots F&L with great success as well. Boots F&L has a slightly dewy look compared to MUFE HD. Oct 10 12 07:47 pm Link I've got about 6 MUFE HD in my kit, along with RCMA, Chanel Pro Lumiere, MAC F&B & A few Illamasqua skin bases. So I don't just use them exclusively but I use them quite alot. I tend to use 140, 153 and 155 the most, sometimes 170 to mix. Oct 12 12 05:03 pm Link I use 110 153 and 177 only with the Temptu adjusters as well. I also have the Temptu neutralizing wheel which is silicone based. Great way to color adjust while thickening the base for more coverage. Oct 16 12 11:28 am Link I never even heard of temptu color adjusters! wow. going to have to research this.. i also have the MUFE flash palette .. i use it quite often for different things.. but i just cant see how to use it to adjust the tone of a foundation... uuuhh.. help? Make sure you buy 3 in pink tones and 3 in yellow tones, buying light, medium, and dark in group. This should satisfy mixing a good percentages of colors that you may need. Hope this helps! The colors I work with and sell the most are : 115 (beigish-pink) 117 (beige gold) 118 (beige) 120 (gold) 123 (olive) 125 (beige, darker than 118) 140 (beigish-dark gold) 155 (beige) 170 (gold, dark) 173 (olive, dark) 177 (gold) 185 (beige/neutral) the darkest we have But at the end, when you get how to mix your colors, you don't need that much in your kit.
