For FIVE years running D. M. Gremlin Studios in Long Beach CA has opened its doors one evening a month for this free photography and art community event .
Please join us once again in December for industry networking, portfolio sharing, and great company as we close out the year with our final Open House of 2012 Tour the facilities of our $15-$20/hr rental photography studios, see the studios in action, and take part in open TFCD photo shooting.
As is customary, we consolidate our usual end-of-month festivities in November and December into one early December event, to close out the year and avoid conflicts with the busy Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
RSVP's for studio first-timers are due to studio@dm-gremlin.com by 6pm on Wed Dec 5. Please include your full name and the full name of each guest who will be attending, along with a brief introduction as to whether each person is a photographer, model, stylist, friend/family member, etc. This event is free and open to all, but we do need to plan in advance for who and how many people will be in the studio for the evening.
We look forward to greeting returning friends, and meeting many wonderful models, photographers, and stylists as we close out the year for 2012!
It was great to see everyone in October for the Halloween event. I hope all 'the regulars' can make it in December, and I hope we'll also meet many new friends for the first time!
Invite friends, invite models, come with shoot ideas! Or just stop by for a quick tour. Everyone welcome; first timers do need to RSVP - details in the top post.
The event isn't really holiday themed in itself. It's not a 'holiday party' per se -- just an event/party that happens to fall around the time of the holidays.
Any of our regulars around? Any of you guys going to make it this month? Tom, I think you're out of town... hopefully the rest of the crew will be joining us!
Almost Thanksgiving! Hard to believe! Well, that's the reason this last event of the year is early December - a couple weeks in between, to digest all the turkey, before that final Christmas countdown begins!

Life is good. I am moving into a new studio in December. Time to expand. The new one is about 4,000 square feet. I am pretty buried with the move so I haven't been down to LA lately.

Good luck with your open house!
That is quite a move! Thank you for the update, and I'm sure we'll have a great Open House like always.
