I wonder if any model is involved in agency. Should I join any local agency? I really want to be on one... just ONE magazine to make my dad proud and prove him that my mom is not ugly... because she is the one who give the birth to me.

you don't get to just join an agency.
you can apply. they might accept you, if you meet their criteria. be careful of fakes.
real agencies will not ask for money from you.
also i think you may have some misunderstanding how genetics work as well, but thats another topic.

if your goal is to be in or on a magazine, you may be able to accomplish that without agency representation.

Don't do it for that reason. You will never change your father's opinion. KNOW that it is not true and accept him for who he is.

An agency can help you, but they will only take you as a model if they believe you will make them money.

I'd say an agency is a great way to get work and have legal protection and security, but it is very hard to sign with a reputable one and I would not do it just to be in a magazine, but rather if your really serious about modeling, and judging from your looks, theres no way your mom can be ugly.

Yes, generally, successful models are with agencies. But just because you want to be on one, doesn't mean you automatically get to do so.

However, the chances of you being accepted into an agency are pretty close to zero. And being in a magazine doesn't mean you are beautiful; just as not being in one doesn't mean you are not beautiful. That has nothing to do with it.
