Okay, so, I'm looking for any furby, any age, in any (reasonable) condition as long as it still speaks. Basically, here's the story:

So, as kids, my brother Jamie would spend the weekends @ his dad's house, and his half sister Amanda had these furbies that would spontaneously giggle psychotically or start speaking to one another in creepy furby voices at night, from under the bed, it totally scarred him for life. He still twitches at the sight of Furbies.

Of course, as is my duty as a sibling, I thought it would be funny to prank him by gifting a Furby to his 2 year old son for Christmas this year-- I want to get one and put it, turned on, inside a box, inside another box, inside a box wrapped in paper, with the furby turned on so that at first he's like 'oh what is this?' and then he'll shake it, and it'll giggle, and by the time he unwraps it all and makes eye contact with it, he'll scream girlishly and flee into the night, never to be heard from again. I'm joking about the last bit.

But seriously, if anyone happens to have one lying around in some abandoned corner of the earth, let me know, I want it! Yes, I could buy one at the store, but I'm broke and don't want to pay retail just to prank my brother smile

edit:
A furby has been located, procurred, and wrapped now, with the aide of the ever lovely Reni Rush, who found one by chance and snatched it up for me big_smile BAHAHAHA.

Don't have one lying around but they are making them new again!
According to Entertainment Weekly

"Your favorite hamster-owl hybrid is hot again"
http://popwatch.ew.com/2012/11/14/furbi … 0s-babies/

"The wide-eyed, furry creature from yesteryear has gotten a 2012 facelift, making it even creepier than before."

"even comes with a free downloadable app to help you translate Furbish so you can finally put you iPod Touches, iPads, and iPhones to good use."

Thanks Candy! smile

And Michael, I know they're making them again, but I can't afford $55 for a prank, which is why I want to buy an old cruddy one, haha.

My daughter has about 7 or 8 of the originals ones. 3 of them are the "baby" Furbies.
I keep telling her to go into the attic to make sure there aren't batteries in them because some day someone will want them.

My brother's sister (no relation to me) had like five, and they would talk to each other at random lol

Seriously, if anyone has one... Let me know!!!

edit:

these ebay listings are all lame, I tried to bid on a few but they're pre-set to outbid me every time until the price is stupid high (like, the cost of a brand new one!) Fail. sad

Have you tried the thrift shops/Goodwills/second hand stores?  I've had great luck finding "nostalgia" toys there.

Good luck on your search!

I have a few, never used, still in the boxes. Not sure where but I know they are stored some place in my house.

How much you offering? If it's worth it, I will search for them.
