Hey!

Alright so I literally just started retouching seriously within the past week and a half. Before that, all I knew about photoshop was liquifying.

Anyways, I would love to hear your thoughts on the images I've retouched thus far. I've worked about 1-3 hours on each shot in my portfolio.

Any pointers, advice or criticism is highly appreciated big_smile

Thanks in advance!!

Laurelle.

Don't quit your day job !!!

haha wink

Okay, that isn't a critique on your retouching, it is simply that I don't want you to cut back on your modelling!!

As for your retouching, I think your skills are progressing well and with added experience and techniques they will only improve.  You know  I support you in this. smile

My thoughts would be that if you're using images that other retouchers have/are retouching also... go into the image blind doing what occurs to you, and then look at what others would do to the same images.

That is one of the things I've found is that retouching is that it isn't just technique, but there is also vision, artistry, and creativity in seeing different things to do or different directions to go with the same images.  That extra element of creativity can add WOW to images no matter how perfectly techniques may have been applied.
