I have my first photoshoot tomorrow. Help!
I have my first photoshoot tomorrow. What should I expect? What can I do to stand out as a model? This is a for a bikini calendar, so there is a lot of competition for approximately 12 spots. Can you all share some stories of your first shoots, as well as some "do and do nots"? Nov 28 12 06:46 pm Link Be yourself, be confident. You'll be fine ! Are you bringing wardrobe, or are they providing you with some? Don't lock your joints, and don't tip your chin down too much (will loose your neck). I always say "shoulders back, chest up, arch your back" so you don't slouch Nov 28 12 06:48 pm Link Great advice so far. All I would add is... take a few deep breaths and relax. You'll do fine. Nov 28 12 06:58 pm Link I'm bringing my own wardrobe as well as doing hair and makeup. I'm worried about posing. Do photographers usually guide you? Nov 28 12 06:59 pm Link You will do fine.Take a deep breath. Nov 28 12 07:09 pm Link i generally find out what works best for the model. if she is fairly new ill ask if she like to be directed or if she does her own moves. most prefer to either be directed or a mix of both. just be calm and learn by making faces of your self in the mirror until you know what the "look" feels like. Models with a lot of experience tend to already know what kinds of poses make them look good and are aware of their own lines, etc. Nov 28 12 07:41 pm Link Coline, Welcome to MM! I wish you the Best of Success in all of your future endeavors out here! Kindest regards, Edward Dec 02 12 10:44 pm Link Wish I would've seen this in time. I would've inboxed you some tips. Bikinis are probably what I do better than anything else. Dec 02 12 10:50 pm Link |
